How Much Will My Divorce Cost?

One of the first questions that a potential client typically asks to New Horizons Law, P.A., Michael J. Costantino, Esq. is “How much will my divorce cost?”  While this may be a very reasonable question for a potential new client to ask, it is an extremely difficult question for an attorney to provide a reasonable response to due to the large number of variables that figure into determining the true cost of a divorce – or for that matter any type of litigation.  It is important to recognize that the cost of a divorce is truly dependent upon the approach that you as the client take when moving forward with obtaining a divorce – as well as how much your spouse desires to contest the divorce.

As you should realize if your divorce will be uncontested, New Horizons Law, P.A., Michael J. Costantino, Esq. should be able to easily provide you with a quote for attorney fees and costs after your consultation.  However, a contested divorce will be much more expensive and more difficult to estimate the cost of attorney fees.

At New Horizons Law, P.A., Michael J. Costantino, Esq. realizes that it is necessary to analyze what your objectives are as well as whether those objectives are attainable.  Obviously, if your objective is that you receive one hundred percent of the marital assets and your spouse receives one hundred percent of the marital debts – this is more than likely not an attainable result.
